i never believed my mom when she told me that i would stop documenting and baby-booking everything after my first baby…
brody: baby book filled out entirely up until his first birthday.
foster: got a baby book for him. it has his picture in it…i think.
story: the thought of buying a baby book never even crossed my mind.
mom of the year.
my older sister is having her first baby in june and has these adorable little books and memory keepers on her registry. we were looking at them the other day and i felt a tad guilty about not having one for story’s memories and milestones…and for not ever touching the other two that i own.
but then meghan said, “yeah, but you have a blog.”
d*mn right i do.

so adorable!
thanks, libby!
Oh man, I guess I should start blogging again just so my kids will have some documented memories.
i will recommend anyone and everyone to blog so YES start blogging again!! 😉
oh my goodness, how sweet!
thank you! 🙂
you know what? you're right! and i love your cute little scrapbook layouts. i might just copy you soon enough 🙂
and also, she is the sweetest thing ever and still has so much hair! love it!! (& love that bow)
copy away! it makes it feel like a scrapbook without having to scrapbook 😉
love you friend!
Hahaha! Love it! I did the same thing with my three boys. Although I do have a baby book for Jake. I just never filled it…and.he.will.be.SEVEN.this.year!
glad i am not alone, mare! 😉
I can't get over how she looks exactly like Foster. I swear if she didn't have a bow on it could be him! Lol! She has pretty blue eyes too! I finished my daughter's book up to a year old then it got misplaced in a move and then I found it when she was like 3!
yay for finding unexpected things 🙂 i love when that happens!
i do think she is starting to look more like foz!
Story is adorable! blogging is the new scrapbook!
amen to that!
As the youngest child I know how it feels to not have a baby book or hardly any pictures of me as a baby! How rude, mom 😉
You are great about capturing memories for your little ones. Story really is beautiful! She really resembles Foster in these pics.
xo
i have my baby book in story's room (cause story doesn't have one) and i think there is like one lined filled out! ha!
it's the thought that counts, right?
So precious. My kids don't have baby books either {well they have them, they just aren't filled out..oops}. They each have a ton of pictures though. I think that's the sign of the times – when I was a baby they didn't take that many pictures so they wrote everything down.
i never thought of this. but i SO agree!
She is presh!
Also, I'm coming to NY to steal her quilt. Also maybe her headband. Evie Grace needs those things. Watch out. 🙂
story likes to share 😉 girls weekend in NY say what!
what a princess! she looks like foster SO MUCH. so dern cute. i am in the same boat with the baby book thing. i am not very sentimental and have falsely convinced myeslf "oh i'll remember it all"..
duh. i so won't.
love u.
love you friend 😉
Aw man. I'll take your Mom of the Year award for dropping the baby book at not number three, but TWO! Yea honestly the thought didn't even occur to me that my first has one and second doesn't until after I read this post.
Yea but see this is how I see it.
Sure #1 gets a fancy baby book, but #2, #3 +… get the expertise.
They may not have the cuteness of the records in a neat book, but they have more wisdom and Momma knowledge from the months/years under our belts.
How's that!?!!
YEA!
Yes! that is IT 😉
Yay, for blogging. Faster and easier than those baby books and can fit all the years they live at home!!! 🙂 We are guilt-free mommas!
amen to that!!
what's a baby book??? just kidding. 🙂 i have done an awful job with those things! your little girl is a sweetheart. happy two months!
seriously. what IS a baby book.
🙂
what a cutie! that bow is adorable!!
ps i never even started a baby book… and i only have 1 kid.
that's make me feel better 😉
Blogging wins. You have documented far more than could ever fit into one of those cute pastel memory books. Your little ones will have so much to remember and learn and grow from when they grow old enough to read all that you have saved for them! So awesome. Also, Story Is.So.Flipping.Cute. And wow does she ever look like Foster! You have such a darling bundle of littles.
blogging does take the freakin' cake. doesn't it!? thank you, friend!
she's going to be so thankful that you documented her pooping habits:)
And I have to say…get a baby book. It's not too late. Blogging is wonderful and a great and convient way to document things for your kids. But there is nothing like fipping through the pages of a baby book. it's one of my most cherished things from my mom and I wish so badly that my mother in law and done one for my hubby. Just take the pressure off. No one really cares about what the price of milk was or who the polictical leaders were. (they can look it up if they want. I really don't know why they put those questions in baby books) But they will love seeing your handwriting and seeing much they weighed and funny thing they did or said. (stuff that doesn't always make it on a blog) that just my opinion take it or leave it.
i totally agree with that! but, i do have far more of my heart shared here then in the baby books i started.
Love this! And blogging is such a great way to keep up with everything : )
so true! one of the many reasons i am so thankful for it!
Haha…I can totally relate because Im awful at scrapbooking and journaling. Blogging is my way of documenting it all…the good, the bad, and the poopy. I mean, the ugly. Love you!
annnnd the poopy 😉
That bow! She's such a cutie, Danielle. 🙂
thank you friend!!
She's adorable!! Did you ever post pics of her nursery?
i haven't yet — but hopefully soon! xoxo
I look forward to it 🙂
She's adorable!! Did you ever post pics of her nursery?
SWEETIE FACE. what a total darling. bless her little poopy pants.
love you xoxo
thank you, friend!
sounds like somebody i know 😉
i thought you would be able to relate 😉
oh man, what does it say about me that I never even finished Lilly's book. haha. We are all blessed in different areas, right?
amen! ha!
She's sure a cute, little pooper!
