I’m the type of person who can fall in love with anywhere. Every time I go a new place I rave about it to Caleb and he thinks I’m mildly insane that I could call anywhere home, but it’s true, I could. I fall quickly for the people and the places that surround me, especially when I was surrounded by the very best in Seattle. I KNOW I SAY THIS ABOUT EVERYWHERE, BABE, BUT I BELONG IN SEATTLE.
I’ve been to Washington several times before. In fact, when I met Caleb he was living in Linden, a town north of Bellingham, that is drop dead gorgeous. Washington is green, misty, magical, and whispering Danielle over and over again. Can’t you hear it?
I feel like I should mention, since you all know how I feel about The Bachelor/Bachelorette (judge me) that I met Des in the women’s bathroom when landing at Sea-Tac. Yes, it’s true, and it went a little something like this:
I’ll preface with: I have nothing wrong with peeing in the airplane bathrooms, I do it all the time, but if I can wait til the airport, it’s just so much easier. Or so it seems until I am about to die from the waiting. Why do I do this to myself?
So, in what seems to be a constant trend in my life nowadays, I booked it off that plane and to the nearest bathroom faster than all the speeding bullets. Wait in line, squat to pee, wait in a long line again to wash my hands because two of the sinks are clogged. In my waiting for the sink I look up into the mirror and see, two women behind me, what appears to be Desiree. I’m like OH YES. This is happening. I turn my head around and confirm that it is indeed her, and her eyebrows are looking amazing and she is making a face that I have seen a hundred times on TV. I know this woman… I think to myself.
Desiree! Hi!
Hi! (thinking to herself, here we go, I’m sure)
Hey my name is Danielle and I’m visiting from New York and my girlfriends will DIE if I text them a photo of you and I in this airport bathroom. Do you mind taking a photo? We are huge Bach fans.

We bid each other farewell like old friends and I’m feeling like this is confirmation of two things. 1) That Seattle really needs me there. 2) That I need to blog this season of the bachelor. My grandma lives in Washington, on Whidbey Island, and it really IS beautiful.
I haven't explored Seattle much (except for Sea-Tac, which doesn't count… unless you're meeting cool people in the bathroom!) but I hear it's awesome.
