our adoption fundraiser: one sweet love – bundle #1

today is a day that i have been planning for a long time. a day that has been prayed over, people that have been lifted up to the Lord with thanksgiving for their hearts to donate for this fundraiser.
i think i have been pretty clear that we have taken a big leap of faith financially with moving forward with our adoption. we could have easily been a family who had a heart for adoption but never had those extra thousands of dollars to take that next step. we didn’t want to be caught there. caleb and i were both pretty sure that we might ever have those extra thousands of dollars. but that didn’t change our hearts. it didn’t change what we have been called to do. it didn’t change the amount of money needed. it just reminded us that this is big. but HE is bigger.
i debated for a while what i would call this little fundraiser here. i tossed some things around but i kept coming back to this:

when i pray for this baby, not knowing what gender he or she will be, not knowing what their birth story will be, not knowing about their precious birth mother, i just always pray for our sweet little love. our heart aches for knowing this child and calling them our own. our hope is in Christ that He will bring our baby to us sooner than later. that He will be our comfort in the waiting and that He will show himself faithful as the great provider.
packages have rolled in throughout the summer, every time i opened one i wanted to keep it for myself. wait, that’s not what i was supposed to say. for real, every time i opened one i swelled with gratitude. THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts to each of you who gave. to each of you who is playing this part in brining our baby home.
and now to each of you, i ask that you would consider giving.
