i think it’s funny when people refer to my blog in real life conversations. i’m like oh, um, you read that? one of my best friends told me that this is like my secret blog life that she doesn’t know about. bahaha. but she does know about it because she reads it. and it’s not a secret cause anyone can read it. oh to explain the blog world to non bloggers is hard work.
please don’t die when i tell you this but i was making my man guess what word(s) i was going to put above our bed with the wall letters i am collecting and his first guess was take heart. HELP ME. i about peed me pants. um babe, i am not putting my blog name above our bed. are you serious? he was serious. kills me.

honey, i will forgive you for asking such a question ONLY because you look so hot doing yard work. sexay.
i cannot put into words the amount of outside work our house needs. we, and when i say we i mean he because i have no idea what to do, have quite the list. we bought our house in october so this is our first spring and summer here. lalalove. i do plan on learning about gardening, flowers and all that good stuff. who has a green thumb? is that the right term? help me out here people, i am clueless but so excited to make the outside of our little home as sweet as the inside.
yes that is my very first autumn yarn wreath i ever made hanging our front door. and yes, it has been hanging there since our first night in our new home in october. do you know what our winter has been like? crazy snow, hail, rain, etc. you name it, we had it. in surplus. all the more reason that yarn wreaths are suhweet. withstanding even the longest, snow storm filled new york winters. get yourself one, no? and those are christmas lights on the porch, too. yep.
sidenote: didn’t i do the best job capturing the crazy big moon on saturday night?
i’m kidding. seriously, what is that? i need to improve my moon shots.
my wonderful-amazing-helps me with the boys at least once a week aunt came over on saturday and did some yard work and found our very first sign of spring right outside our door. she told me i better document it on my blog, and wasn’t she right!
spring!
and because my child never eats i thought it best to document him eating a noodle.
one.single.noodle.
thank you for that, foster. thank you.

Erin Ward
Oh boy, you make me happy.
That moon shot is perhaps the best thing I've ever seen.
Leslie @ top of the page
yipEEE!! i was hoping and hoping! yeah sometimes more of these – !!! – is necessary!!! happy monday, friend.
{cuppakim}
danielle, you are SO funny. love that your hubster thought you'd put your blog name over your bed. HEE-larious.
And its a sure thing you have evidence of your little guy eating. Definitely need that in the record books!

yay! I'm so happy to have won! thanks for hosting again! andreaworley[at]live.com
And ps- I wish I had some green thumb tips to share w/ you but I do not. Our first home I thought I was some sort of gardener, and got super excited and bought hanging planters to put over our cute fenced in patio and planted a bunch of flowers and then killed them all because i didn't know you could "over water" plants and drown them! Bummer, they all. died!
I hope your luck is better than mine because my Husband thinks I have a black thumb! π
kaylee@life chasers
bahaha! i died about the 'take heart' above the bed!
and the moon pic, and the noodle. the slight sarcasm is just what i needed to make me laugh tonight.
yay for spring and signs of new life!
ragamuffinbeauties
You crack me up! I love that you write as though you are having a conversation with an old friend, it makes me love you all the more! XO
Tracie
We moved into our new house in September and our yard is a mess! We have a ton of trees behind our house, which backs up to a main road. We need to clear out the dead and downed brush and plant some flowers. We have camellia in bloom that are gorgeous and our azalea bushes are starting to flower. Spring in Virginia (at least in our city) has really sprung! I am hoping to plant knockout rose bushes and some daylilies, just as soon as it gets consistently warm!

We moved into our house at the very end of October so this is our first Spring and Summer in our house and we are SO EXCITED! We don't even know what our house is going to look like when everything blooms π The people who lived here have lots of plants/flowers and stuff so I am especially anxious to see what those look like!
Yay Spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cory
I seriously laughed out loud at that moon pic. I've tried to do that like a hundred times & it always turns out just like yours!
Also, I know absolutely nothing about gardening. Fail.
Susanne
I am almost scared of people who read my blog, they can know too many things if the pay attention, lol.Β¨
congratulations to the winners!
Jami Nato
you turned the funny dial up on this post…someone was feeling spunky!
yes, blog world is wierd. non-bloggers just don't understand. but we should do a course for them, don't you think? let's call it, "things you should know about your bloggy friends"
Unknown
So funny he thought take heart would be above your bed! π men are too cute.
I love yard work and gardening. Just wish I had for $$$ for put into it. I told Brandon that when we are old, we are having one of those flower gardens you see in magazines. π
Enjoy your first spring in your new home!
lesleyzellers
Dude, you crack me up. I totally agree on the weirdness of real life conversations about things you've blogged. It takes me back when it's people I first meet and they're like, your post about blah blah blah made me blah. I'm like, you read that!?
Anyway, good luck on your garden. My husband always gets ours going, I help by doing what he tells me! Thank Jesus for him! Lettuces are REALLY easy though. Just plant them a little shallow and remember to water. They will grow like weeds!
thetwistedruffle
oh, the moon! i wanted to take a picture of it. it was peeking out from behind the hill with clouds, and it was beautiful. but my husband was all talking about shutter speeds and where is the tripod, let's wait until it gets overhead…and in the end there is no picture! ugh! i'm glad you at least got one!
Bonhomie
you art too.funny. you might notice that i don't even attempt to take pictures. i'm a horrible photographer.
i, too, thought we were seeing signs of spring and then today? snow. seriously. i do a little bit of gardening – not very good follow through, though. best tip: know you're gardening zone and know what's native to your area and then GROW ONLY THOSE PLANTS! they won't need any more (or any less) water than is naturally provided (usually) and they'll require the least maintenance with the highest chance of survival. your local garden center can help.
thanks so much, danielle, for hosting the giveaway – so excited to hear from my winner!! π
jenny
you made me laugh out loud. in the morning. I love it. and oh do i know the feeling of eating JUST ONE FREAKING NOODLE!!!!!!!!!
Dana
Go Foster!! You single noodle eater, you. Congrats to all of the winners…. lucky ducks!
Heather @ Life Made Lovely
bahaha…blog name over the bed! silly man.
your one noodle eater needs to meet my one bite of cheese eater. i think they would get along famously. π
Courtney B
I totally know what you mean about trying to explain to people who don't blog. Cause people tried explaining it to me and nothing made sense until I started blogging! π
Your husband is so funny! And you're going to have so much fun putting together your home and figuring out yard work and stuff!
AND! I still have my Christmas wreath up π Oops!
Cherish Stockdale
non bloggers just don't get it! hah!
Kristin Holdeman
yay!!! krisgrubbs[at]gmail.com

i seriously cracked up at the moon shot and your capture. EL OH EL!!
i love you.

Rach
I can't believe I WON….yayyyyyaay! And your little house is so cute.
Kyle Parish
i think we're living the same life in different states. i have never posted a picture of the outside of my house because it's so scary people may judge me. i know my neighbors do. we're working on it. growing grass is freaking hard work. and way to go on that noodle, foster!
Shandell
hooray! thank you! π
Charlotte
I showed my husband your "spring" pictures, and his response was "hm, she must not live in Wisconsin". *rolls eyes*
Glad to see green stuff is popping up for you though.
Nikki
I think it's hilarious when non-bloggers say, "oh…you have a blog, what do you talk about???" Glad to know my son isn't the only little guy who barely eats.
Jami
I guess 1 noodle is better than none! lol
Sarah B.
Okay, next time… you PROMISED! π
By the way, our house needs tons of yard work done too!! Feel free to send your hubby on over to pick up the slack around here π
Tanya
I love your "works-for-any-season" wreath and your hints of Spring. It snowed here today! Soon…sooon…Spring will come to us (fingers crossed).
Kids and their lack of eating…the pic is totally understandable.
Unknown
I love planting flowers! I'm obsessed with perennials…maybe because they're harder to kill π
stephanie joy
bah hahahahahahaha!!!!
that moon shot… awesome!
seriously… i almost spit out my sip of water when i read/saw that.
hilario!
and yeah… one noodle.
sounds like my baby.
can it get any more frustrating?!?
how is foster on the growth charts?
my baby h (18 months old) is now officially off the charts… on the low end.
sigh… you can't force a baby to eat!!!
a whole whopping 19.5 lbs at 18 months!
she'll never ever be forward facing in her carseat, dang it!
that's why we have a DVD player in the truck!!!
