thank you all so much for your kind words about our baby girl! we were so excited, and a bit shocked, to hear that she was, indeed, a she. it feels like i have been the mom to boys for a long time. around this time of year in 2007 we found out little brody was a boy. and from there, it’s been a few years of boyish goodnessβ¦ and i love boyish goodness. i think in my head i was just so ready to hear “it’s a boy!” that it took me a minute to process the girl news. we are so excited to bring a sweet girl into our family. most of all we are excited that our baby was healthy. and that she doing somersaults inside me. girlfriend can bust a move.

I love girl names. My favorites are Mia Margaret or Ainsley.
Nikki @ Saving For A Rainy Day
My beautiful girls are Emma Sunshine and Stella Patience. I also adore the names Tess and Annabelle.
Stella's nursery is a lot of red with some brown and blue. I collect Little Golden Books and anything Little Red Riding Hood for her. My favorite little girly clothes for her are Hanna Andersson,Catimini,Misha Lulu and Matilda Jane.
My oldest is a girl (12 in a few weeks)then we had 2 boys so I just expected another boy. I was over the moon to get another little girl! She'll be 1 on Monday and is just the sweetest most petite little thing.
You will love having a daughter and you will be amazed at the dreams you have for her.

Love love love Matilda Jane and Shabby Apple clothes for a girl!
If we have a girl, her name will be Lana Rose, but the other names on our list over the years have been Delaney, Ainsley & Hartley… There have been SO many more, but I am drawing a blank, lol. Three boys will do that to you!
For the nursery, I love pale yellow or aqua walls with shades of pink/peach & green. All with a vintage feel. Beautiful fabrics, but subtle. No bedding set, just a beautiful crib sheet that is the center of attention. π And I actually have a few small framed Holly Hobby prints from when I was a little girl, which I am dying to use! So I'm in love with anything vintage/patchwork when it comes to sweet little girls.
ENJOY!

Congrats on your sweet girl…I have a Maren Eleanor…I'm sure whatever name you choose will be fitting and perfect. We did her nursery and subsequent big-girl room in turquoise, red and yellow with a bit of pink. Plenty of vintage finds are mixed in with some funky modern things, too. I've got about a million favorite Etsy shops with collections ranging from hairbands to artwork. I've also recently listed some fun little pieces in my own shop. {You'll get a sampling in the package I send for your Love146 event!} I'm sure you'll enjoy the frilly-ness that comes with a girl…it really is very special!

I have a girl and 4 nieces and I must say it is rather enjoyable. The dresses, the girly theme rooms, the bows… oh the clothing. Don't get me wrong there are tons of cute boy clothing but the flower print summer dresses and pink peacoats for girls are adorable.
