it’s here. i can feel it in the crisp morning air.
in the just-starting-to-change leaves. the swings that have to be wiped down from the cool night’s dew.
in the sweatshirts and in the footie pj’s.
(and seriously, i will make all of my children wear footie pajamas for as long as i possibly can.)
in the cold noses of my baby boys.
the tee ball games and wanting to zipper up all by his big boy self.
it’s in the start of football season.
it makes me think about snuggling up on the couch with my hubby and a spiced apple cider, all while nibbling on pumpkin bread and cheering for the giants.
this never happens. but i think about it.
playdates where jackets are needed and snacking on apples fresh from the tree.
and cuddling with my baby on chilly afternoons.
oh, i love it.
and why, yes, that is my child wearing neon blue sweatpants with an oversized moose sweater. don’t judge. my sister and i called him (brody) the ox, as he pulled his plow (the stroller).
he could do this for hours.
oh yep, there he is…
and if that ain’t determination, i don’t know what is.
welcome, fall. we’re so glad you’re here.
