i like to think i get in front of the camera from time to time…but when i look back on the past couple months of pictures i am lucky if i am in one shot. my dear friend emily’s challenge to embrace the camera makes me more intentional about getting in the picture with my kids.
i wish i had more pictures of my mama and i from when i was little.
hopefully my kids will never have to wish that.
they will be like…shoot, why do i have so many pictures with my mom? she crazy.
and that will be a goal accomplished. thankyouverymuch.

brody wanted to make a funny face for these pictures. his funny face looks like he’s about to upchuck. and that makes me chuckle. so i guess he achieved it.

recently we made a video for a cousin who was celebrating 40 years of life…we noted that there were hardly any photos of her and her dad…because her dad was always taking the photos…this spoke loud and clear to me (and the mr.) to get in more photos so that when our kids look back on our documented life they will see us in it with them.
Your family is really cute. I wish the leaves would fall from our tree so we could rake and jump in the leaves.

I have totally thought the SAME thing! I don't have hardly any pictures of my mom and I from when I was growing up, and I think to myself, "I want my daughter to have not only pics of her and I but pics of me." Because I don't even feel like I have many of my Mom in general.
So I'm intentional too about getting pics taken with my daughter but also to remember to have some of me alone, because I know how much she'll appreciate it! It's not easy for me to be behind the camera, I get shy, but I do it because I want her to have these for when she's older. Thanks for the awesome post!
These photos are wonderful and your boys are adorable. I certainly don't get in front of the camera as much as I should. I think those postpartum insecurities still get the best of me…
