jeans: kohls | coat: jcpenney (aka my fave place) hat: whimsical creations | boots: have got to be seven years old, at least, no clue where i got them but i can guarantee i didn’t spend more than $20 on them.
i guess i like sharing outfit posts lately… not quite sure what happened there. but that’s what i love about blogging. it’s my blog, yo.
my husband and i spent the past few days in chicago and had the best time ever. i had been only once before, when i was a teenager, and it was caleb’s first time. it was just about the same temperature as it is here in new york but the windy city has got quite the wind chill, y’all. i guess that’s fitting, huh? so this was my uniform. add on a scarf and mittens so you can’t see my chipping teal nail polish and call it a day. or four days. i can’t wait to share more about our trip… one day that will happen, i promise. in the mean time i am home with my babies, squeezing them tight. it always hurts to leave them, but it does my mama heart so much good to have that break, and come back feeling so refreshed. no matter where i go, one day or four days, time apart from my children makes me think on how i have been mothering, how i have been loving them well or not well at all, and just spend time thinking about their precious little souls, rather than with them every hour of the day. it’s a must needed break, and time of prayer and appreciation, for the best job in the world, being their mama. this post suddenly got really sappy. but, hey, it’s my blog.

It sounds like you had a good trip to Chicago! I definitely want to hear more about it, but take care of those kiddo snuggles first, for sure!
