Ohmigawd they’re back again.
Once upon a time, I was a 13 year old girl who wallpapered her room in photos of Brian, AJ, Kevin, Howie & Nick. But mostly, Brian Littrell. In the late 90s I firmly believed that the Lord created Brian for me and that we would marry one day. I signed papers with Danielle Littrell (It rhymes. Perfect, I know.) and hummed Anywhere For You as I fell asleep at night. My older sister Meghan and I, along with our neighborhood besties Kori and Mandi, were, what some may call, CRAZY. STRAIGHT UP BOY BAND CRAZY. We traded cards, exchanged posters, recorded live performances on VHS tapes and watched them until the videos broke. We learned the dances, we knew every single fact about each of our favorite boys, and we even recorded and sang The Perfect Fan for our moms on mother’s day. My conservative parents even grounded me when BSB showed up on Rolling Stone with just towels around their waist, as if it was my sister and I shirtless on the cover ourselves. (Thanks for toning it down nowadays, Mom and Dad.) But, I think my most favorite Backstreet memory might be our sleepovers. Once we had all calmed down and, my heavens, that took a while, we’d say our favorite thing to say at every.single.sleepover. What would you do if The Backstreet Boys were here RIGHT NOW? Like if we opened our eyes and they were sitting right next to us? I actually don’t know what our answer was to that question that was asked 2948 times, but I am sure it was very, very scary.
Well, here I am today and I have no shame to proclaim BSB as my first loves and you better bet that I got excited when they announced their 24 city North America tour for this summer. You can read the full press release, with all the exciting details, here. And, cause I know you can’t wait a minute longer: Purchase your tickets here! Wanna partay with me? Join me at the Boston concert August 12th! Seriously, join me. What could be better than me, you, and BSB?

OMG. My best friend & I are planning to go to their concert. They're coming to our city on the 23rd of August. Her & I were obsessed with the Backstreet Boys in the 90s / early 00s (okay…still are). But we never got to go to any of their concerts. Thanks for the opportunity to win tickets!
Esther

So, I lived this exact story except it was NKOTB. I might add that without them there would never have been a BSB. Also, I'm old. Love you!

Brian was my first love!I had a pillow case with his face on it so you know it was serious. I would love to see them again and re-live my tween years!

Confession: I was 13, too, except Justin Timberlake was betrothed to me. NSync had my heart. Can we still be friends?!

My high school choir sang backup on Perfect Fan. I was so sad because I had already graduated. 🙂 I'm weird. I like BSB but I never had a boy band crush like everyone else.

Oh my. We used to do 5 part harmonies to BSB at our sleepovers. While I've always been more of a Hanson girl, I can still recall taping the songs, then listening back to analyze, like the crazy 13 year olds that we were. One friend is still BSB obsessed, and I..well I turned into a professional singer so I guess it was worth the work? haha would LOVE to go in NYC or NJ. xo
Mary Grace
I'd like to see them in Las Vegas, NV!

I was also a HUGE bsb fan…so you can imagine how funny it is to me that my friend I worked at Starbucks with in LA produced this album and wrote some of the songs! He was always a musician, but he has made quite a name for himself! And that name is Morgan Taylor Reid. I once had a countdown to how many days till the BSB concert on the wall…in college. 🙂 Life is funny.
