i really need to make a note to self that i will be spending twice the amount of money i plan on spending any time i go to target. especially if my mom is joining.
i texted my hubby while waiting in line to give him a head’s up. “just a forewarning: spent a lot more than i said i was going to :)” luckily, caleb was playing a fifa soccer game with my dad so he was in a good mood. who am i kidding, for those of you who don’t know my husband — he is always in a good mood. one of the many things i love about you, honey. 😉
i won’t tell you how much i spent but the number didn’t start with a 1. and it was three digits.
to justify, i got some great deals and a bunch of big ticket items, such as; size 3 diapers, size 4 diapers, wipes, swim diapers, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, a bunch of baby food, and a lot of non-perishable foods.
brody rocked my new hat and foster got his very own sippy cup.
i felt a tad guilty for spending a lot of money so i decided to return something before we left. i’m crazy, i know. when we got out to the car i saw bottled water that i had forgotten to bring in from the car from our last shopping trip. so, i headed right back in to return the bottled water i literally just purchased. got my $5 and change back and felt quite accomplished…until my mom told me about this study that links bottled water sitting in heat to breast cancer. thanks, mom. now i can’t bring myself to drink the water anyway. do you drink bottled water? tap water? use a filter? i’m interested.

We use a Brita filter that we fill and keep in the fridge. I don't really ever drink tap water straight from the sink- except at my in-laws, their tap water tastes good- maybe it's cause they have a well but i'm not sure.
I've heard about not leaving water in the car before and ever since then i've stopped.

It's the bpa's and phthalates in plastic that can be a problem. Those chemicals can mimic estrogen. You can get a kleen kanteen or something like that. I just bought some more at ll bean and pottery barn kids on clearance.
However, those chemicals are in a lot of things…
